The luckiest or unluckiest man in the world?

Frane Selak is a music teacher from Croatia. He's either the luckiest man or the unluckiest man in the world. It depends on how you look at it.
1 One day in 1962, he was travelling on a train when it fell into a river. Frane's arm was broken, but he got out of the train and swam to a river bank.
2 The next year, while he was travelling on a small plane, the engines stopped. Then, as the plane was falling to the ground, a door fell off and Frane fell out of the plane. The plane crashed into a hill and everyone on the plane died, but Frane landed on a haystack. He got a few cuts and bruises.
3 Two years later Frane was on a bus. The bus was crossing a bridge when it suddenly fell off the bridge and into the river. Frane was not hurt.
4 He decided to buy a car. In 1970, he was driving when his car engine caught fire, but Frane jumped out before it exploded. 5 Frane bought another car, and in 1973, he was driving his new car when it caught fire, but this time, the fire was inside the car. Frane jumped out, but he lost most of his hair.
6 In 1995, he was hit by a bus and 7 in 1996 he was driving in the mountains when he saw a truck driving on the wrong side of the road. His car left the road, fell 100 metres and exploded. Luckily, Mr Selak had jumped out and landed in a tree.
Since then, Frane hasn't had any other accidents, but in 2003 he bought a lottery ticket for the first time in forty years. He won the first prize.
What do you think? Is he the luckiest or the unluckiest man in the world?
