- point something out - make someone notice something by pointing with your finger or by talking Eg: I'd made one or two mistakes that she pointed out to me.
- hold a belief deeply - When we hold a belief deeply, we believe something strongly. Eg: Martin Luther King's speeches show a deeply held belief that God creates everyone with equal value.
- a quality - Countable: a characteristic, something we can say about someone's personality Eg: She has the right qualities to be a nurse. She is intelligent, caring and patient. (Uncountable - how good something is. Eg: We only use high quality ingredients in our food.)
- value something - think something is important and useful or good Eg: I've always valued her advice. It's usually very good.
- an attitude (to something/someone) - the opinions and feelings that you usually have about something, especially when this is shown in your behaviour Eg: Many people have a negative attitude to politicians - They don't trust them.
- expect someone/something to do something - think that someone should behave in a particular way or do a particular thing. Eg: I expect my students to be on time.
- have something to offer - have skills or qualities that can help other people. Eg: He has a lot to offer: He's funny, caring and is good at fixing things.
- develop - grow and improve. Eg: At first, we were just colleagues, but our relationship has developed into a lasting friendship.
